Join us for an informal chat over coffee and cake where we will be welcoming Stephanie Opdam and Shaneel from Columbia Lake Partners.

Columbia Lake Partners (CLP) is a London-based venture debt fund focused on providing growth loans to European technology companies. Typical transactions entail 36-month amortising loans of €1-10mm in size to Series A/B/C companies. The CLP team strives to change the venture debt industry through its transparency and educational approach.

This roundtable discussion will explore topics, including:

• Types of start-up funding: equity, bank debt and venture debt
• Seven use cases of venture debt
• Venture debt structures
• Term sheet terms

The session is open to companies of all stages and sizes. Depending on the number of registrations, this discussion will be held separately for early stage and growth stage companies. There will be room to discuss individual questions and funding opportunities.

Stephanie Opdam joined CLP in 2015. She is responsible for the screening of investment opportunities, due diligence, structuring and portfolio management. Prior, Stephanie obtained a MSc degree in Finance & Private Equity from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In her free time, Stephanie pursues water sports, reads up on the latest start-up/founder news and engages in pro-bono work.

Shaneel recently joined CLP from PwC, where he was primarily responsible for deal strategy and operations across a range of sectors. Shaneel obtained a MSc degree in Finance & Private Equity from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is an avid Arsenal fan, semi-qualified sommelier and is passionate about all things tech-related.
